Inforia Labs sends subcontractors a daily list of new building permits. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we use your details only to run the service, and we never sell them.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in the sign-up form, email us or call us, we receive your name, company, trade, the ZIP codes you work, your email address and, if you give it, your phone number, along with anything else you choose to tell us.
Public permit records. Our lists are built from building permits published by the City of Austin. These records include business information such as the address of the job and the name and phone number of the company that pulled the permit.
Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages visited, to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
- To set up your free trial and send you the permit lists for your trade and areas.
- To reply to your questions and change your settings when you ask.
- To bill you if you become a paying customer.
- To improve the service, for example by learning which kinds of jobs are most useful.
We don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, and we don't send you other companies' marketing.
Who helps us run the service
A few trusted providers handle information for us, only to run the service:
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
- Web3Forms delivers the sign-up form to our inbox.
- Google Workspace handles our email.
- An email delivery service sends the daily lists, and a payment provider processes subscriptions once you subscribe. We never see or store your full card details.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Text messages
We only send you text messages if you have asked for them. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP. We do not share your phone number for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you use the service. If you cancel, or your trial ends and you don't continue, we delete your details within 12 months unless we need to keep billing records for tax purposes.
Your choices
- Stop the emails any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by replying "stop".
- See, correct or delete your information by emailing us. We'll do it within 30 days.
- Listed in a permit? If your company appears in a permit record and you'd prefer we leave your business contact details out of our lists, email us and we'll remove them.
Security
We use reputable providers with encrypted connections and keep access to your information limited to the people who run Inforia Labs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.
Who this service is for
Inforia Labs is a business service for contractors and suppliers. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll tell subscribers by email.
